The Korean Journal of Pancreas and Biliary Tract (KJPBT) follows the ethical guidelines for research and publication described in Guidelines on Good Publication (http://publicationethics.org/resources/guidelines), Publication of Scholarly Work in Medical Journals (http://www.icmje.org/icmje-recommendations.pdf) and the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing (http://doaj.org/bestpractice). For subjects not addressed in theses instructions, the authors should refer to the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) "Recommendations for the Conduct, Reporting, Editing and Publication of Scholarly Work in Medical Journals" (http://www.icmje.org/icmje-recommendations.pdf).
All authors of a manuscript must have agreed to the submission and are responsible for its content, including appropriate citations and acknowledgements; they must also have agreed that the corresponding author has the authority to act on their behalf on all matters pertaining to the publication of the paper. By publishing in the KJPBT, the authors agree that the Korean Pancreatobiliary Association has the right to protect the manuscript from misappropriation. Illustrations in the published articles will not be returned to the authors.
For the policies on research and publication ethics not stated in the Editorial Policy of this journal, the guidelines of the Committee of Publication Ethics (COPE; https://publicationethics.org/) or Good Publication Practice Guidelines for Medical Journals (https://kamje.or.kr/) should be referred.
